About the Office: Washington County’s Real Property Lister operates as an office in the Register of Deeds. The Real Property Listers Office maintains assessment information for nineteen of the county’s twenty governmental units, and is the repository for the county surveyors files. It also acts as a clearinghouse for much of the parcel based land information in the county. Currently the office is staffed by two full time positions; the Real Property Lister and the Real Property Specialist. The Real Property Lister is responsible for office administration, oversees the creation of all parcels, reviews parcel mapping activities performed by the GIS Division of the Planning and Parks Department and supervises the production of the assessment rolls. Daily data entry of the assessment roll is the responsibility of the Real Property Specialist.
