About the Office: The Sheboygan County Real Property Listing Office is located on the third floor of the Administration Building in Room 319 and is currently organized within the Sheboygan County Planning And Resources Department.
Our staff, in addition to myself, consists of three full-time positions [Land Technician I, Land Technician III, and a GIS Mapping Technician] that contribute to the responsibilities and maintenance of accurate records in our office. Property ownership, legal descriptions, mailing addresses, assessments, parcel maps, tax rates, tax rolls, and tax billing for all parcels of land in Sheboygan County are processed here. (With the exception of the City of Sheboygan, which maintains information for parcels within its city limits.) Annually our office handles approximately 25,000 documents.
2003 was a very busy year for land divisions. A total of 92 certified survey maps (up 17% from 76 in 2002), and 10 subdivision/condominium plats (up 70% from 3 in 2002) were reviewed. The CSM’s contained a total of 151 new lots encompassing 1458 acres and the 10 plats created 347 new lots which included 233 acres of land. In 2003 Sheboygan County Real Property Listing processed 40 new subdivisions and condominium plats in the cities and villages alone, setting an all-time record. A total of 109 CSM’s were processed (up 15% from 93 in 2002). Overall 292 splits, creating 425 new parcels in towns, 156 in villages, and 116 in Sheboygan Falls and Plymouth combined, accounted for a total of 697 parcels for that year. Our parcel mapping is in digital format with all parcels COGO’d into the ArcInfo GIS system. We maintain our data utilizing an EGTS system of entry. A web-based information system located at http://www.co.sheboygan.wi.us allows access to our databases [inclusive of owners name, parcel id number, survey maps, tax parcel maps, and aerial photographs]. This land information option is additionally offered to subscribers on an annual based fee and renewal system.
