the office: This office is
part of the Treasurer's office with
Sandy Brudos the Treasurer, she is the most intelligent
person that I have ever known. There are two part time people
who also share office space, the County Surveyor and Melanie
who helps with a lot of various jobs. We don't have parcel
mapping yet so we have to draw out most of the legal
descriptions. |

Vernon County has 21 Townships, 9 Villages and 3 Cities. We
have many new people moving here for organic farming. They
are selling off small parcels of land that creates many
splits of parcels. Some of our assessors have computer
capabilities and some don't. That means that I enter values
one at a time and use a calculator to double check totals. |
