| About
the office: The Marathon County Property Description office is a division of
the Treasurer’s Office. Property Description is staffed by 4
full-time positions. The department staff currently processes
approximately 5,800 sales transfers, 540 surveys and 25 plats a
year. As of October 2001, all of our tax parcel maps are
computerized and we are on the Internet, a long-time-a-commin’, but
we made it. We have a RS/6000 workstation with Arc/Info and ArcView software, and a laser jet color
printer on order to print maps for and by the public, this would
eliminate about 6,500 maps per year removed from our workbooks
and duplicated for the public. To accomplish this, the workflow
is divided as follows: |
