for over 25 years and is currently assessing five townships. |

the office: The staff of the Ashland County Land
Description office consists of one full-time tax lister and
one part-time secretary. Ashland County's assessment roll is
maintained in digital format and has future plans to include
it on website. |
| About Ashland county:
Ashland County consists of 13 Townships, 1 Village and 2
Cities. Ashland County was established in 1860. It is the
home of the Great Divide, where the water flow North to the
shores of Lake Superior and South to join the Mississippi.
Ashland County has 64 lakes which cover 11,000 acres and
more than 300 miles of spring-fed trout streams. The county
includes the Apostle Islands and Madeline Island of Lake
Superior. There are 177,732 acres of National Forest and the
Chippewa and Flambeau rivers available for recreational
activities. Mellen is the home of Copper Falls State Park.
The Bad River Indian Reservation is in Ashland County. |
